All these textures on the wall make the room look smaller and cozier. The different textures on the sofa, chairs, and pillows give a variety of looks and feels. 

Texture gives you many different effects on people. Smooth and shiney textures feel more classic looking whereas rough textures are more informal.

Most of this room is informal but there is still a classy look to it because of the placement of objects.
